The company has grown significantly over the years, evolving from being a small glazing company supplying glass to local residents, to today being able to take on large scale glazing projects for many well-known brands, developers and high street names through Essex, London and across the UK.
SGC Glass have been serving customers since 1995 – in fact, we celebrated our 25th birthday under the ownership of Chris Cottage on 11th November 2020! Despite our growth over the years, we still remain a family business, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains at the heart of what we do.

We’re not just a traditional glazing company. In 2017 we made a move to becoming a fully cloud based company but what does this mean? Well, all of our jobs are stored and managed thanks to ServiceM8, helping to eliminate the need for any paperwork (phew!).
Our glaziers can effortlessly communicate to our office team in real time using this technology. In addition to this, we use Xero for our accounting, Charliehr for Human Resources, Trello as a list-making application to set tasks and Sharepoint which acts as a document management storage system that integrates with Microsoft Office.
We maintain CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to the highest standards of health and safety management.
